Booking a newborn photography session with me is an exciting and special experience, and I’m here to make sure it’s as smooth and enjoyable as possible for you and your family.

From our first conversation to the delivery of your beautifully edited images, every step is designed to create a comfortable, personalized experience that results in timeless photographs you’ll treasure forever. Here’s what you can expect when you book a newborn session with me:

Step 1: Initial Consultation & Questionnaire

Once you’ve decided to book a session with me at Nicole Turk Photography, I’ll send you a short questionnaire. This helps me get to know you and your family better, ensuring that the session is tailored to your preferences. One of the key things I ask about is your favourite colours and specific props you would like to use from my collection. This allows me to prepare props, backgrounds, and outfits that will create a look you’ll love. Whether you prefer soft pastels, something more neutral, your session will be customized to reflect your taste. I also ask that you share a few sample images of specific poses you love. This helps me understand your vision and allows us to try and recreate them during the session, provided they are safe and your baby is comfortable in those positions. Your baby’s safety and well-being are always my top priority.

Step 2: The Session

On the day of the session, we’ll work together in a relaxed, comfortable environment in my home studio in Baltimore just a short drive from Cobourg Ontario. Newborn sessions typically last between 2 to 4 hours, allowing plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and capturing those perfect moments without any rush. I take great care to ensure that both you and your baby feel at ease, with breaks as needed to keep everyone happy.

Step 3: Viewing Your Gallery

Just a few days after the session, I’ll send you a private online gallery where you can view the photos. This happens within 4 days, so you don’t have to wait long to see the beautiful images we’ve created. From this gallery, you’ll choose your favourite photos to be professionally hand edited. If you fall in love with more images than you expected, you’re welcome to select additional ones at this time.

Step 4: Hand-Editing Your Favourites

Once you’ve made your selections, I begin the meticulous process of hand-editing each chosen image. This involves fine-tuning the details to ensure every photo is perfect, from skin tones to textures, creating a polished and timeless look. My editing style is natural and soft, highlighting the beauty and innocence of your newborn.

Step 5: Final Delivery

After the editing is complete, your final images will be delivered to you, ready to be cherished for years to come. These photos can be shared with family and friends, printed, or added to an album that tells the story of your little one’s earliest days.
